So another big shake-up in my bottom 5 rankings with the "domers" squeaking out a "W" against Duke and then Utah State rising up and pulling down a "W" against New Mexico State. I have included a limited basis for my ranking this week by including the bottom-fivers opponents overall record. This will be the final bottom 5 ranking, as for the season finale I will do an actual bottom 10.

Now on with the count-down!

Number 5 – Duke "Bedevils" – Stretched their record to 1-10 with a loss to previous number 5 ranked Notre Dame. Their ranking is based on the fact that their strength of schedule is pretty good/bad at 79-55 a .589 percentage

Number 4 – Minnesota "rodents" – Lost Saturday to Wisconsin in their season finale for the battle of Paul Bunyan’s Ax. With strength of schedule of 91-48 for a percentage of .659, the best of the bottom 5 team’s, their season is now complete.

Number 3 – SMU "donkeys" – At 1-10 they make their season debut into the bottom 5 with a strong 59-20 loss to UCF Saturday. With strength of schedule of 66-66 they have the weakest/strongest case for the number 1 spot if Florida International can win their last game. The ‘stangs finish up their season against Memphis.

Number 2 – Idaho "scandals" – They now stand at 1-10 on the Season after getting bombed by Boise State 52-14 Saturday. They have an impressive 67-63 opponent’s record going into their final game against equally impressive conference foe Utah State also at 1-10.

Number 1 – Florida International "yellow cats" – Carrying an impressive losing streak of 23 straight games. They look to cement their ranking as number 1 against conference foe Florida Atlantic who is battling for the conference championship. Their current strength of schedule stands at 67-63, but they have an advantage since they finish against 1-9 North Texas to close out the season.

Dropping out Utah State Aggies and Notre Dame. See you next week for the first Bottom 10 rankings.
